We are a diverse team of activists based in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya, London, Geneva, Rome, and Modena (Italy). Our members bring a wide range of expertise, including international law, computer science, journalism, graphic design, education, finance, translation and project management. What unites us, besides friendship, is having grown up without having forgotten our childhood dream: that of changing what we do not like about the world. Artivism and Sport for Human Rights (ASHR), is an NGO registered in Italy since June 2024. It promotes a culture of peace and respect for human rights through art and sport as forms of expression, participation and resistance. We have active projects in Italy, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kenya and Venezuela which revolve around human rights education, empowerment and the creation of safe and inclusive spaces.

ASHR operates on three main fronts. On human rights, supporting activists and small local organizations through legal actions and advocacy at both national and international levels. On education, it works in schools to promote peace and human rights education as a practice of freedom, valuing diversity as a source of richness. On empowerment, it supports artistic and sports projects as a response to the horrors of war and individualism, giving visibility to marginalized talents and promoting social cohesion and integration.
